Shutters open wide and you see yourself on stage
With characters building up and the story finding its base.
Halfway through the play, you forget the story and start creating your own
Then to get back to the original you endlessly moan.
The spotlight that was on you, now falls on someone else
But you’ll have to stay in the dark, unless & until the director tells.
Looking at the props, you are like stuck in lights at amber
‘Surrender’ he says from offstage, and then ‘you shall remember’.
The light falls back on you to resume the play as it is written down
But in the eyes of the audience, you may still be a little clown.
Yet some sit for long and others leave the house
All in all it doesn’t matter, as in the end
The curtain falls.
